Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.  To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the MFM website. On some pages, you can make requests, sign-up for mailings, complete an application, and register to receive materials.  This notice also applies to all information collected in person, over the telephone, via email, or through the postal service.  The types of personal information collected through these means may include:

Skill Set Information

The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself to provide you opportunities to short-term missions and the particular team(s) we feel may suit you.

Your skill set information may be used to place you on a short-term mission team that can utilize your particular skills and abilities.

We do not share this information with parties outside of MFM, One Mission Society, or one of our partner organizations with whom we have a cooperative relationship and an agreement of ministry.

Your passport information is required in order to purchase airline tickets and arrange for any visas which may be necessary for travel.  This information is shared with the travel agency and the airline(s) on which you have been booked to travel.  In each of these cases, the outside agencies with whom your information is shared have in place privacy policies.

If applicable, your credit card information may be required to make payment of your account balance with MFM through One Mission Society.  This information is not shared beyond the MFM offices and One Mission Society.

Medical Information is used to determine your fitness for travel and/or participation on a work team.  If deemed necessary for your health and safety, this information is shared with our partners in the country to which you are traveling.  This information may also be necessary to obtain insurance coverage for your travel, in which case the information will be shared with the insurance provider.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive.  Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

You can register with our website if you would like to receive our magazine as well as updates on the latest teams, opportunities and events.  Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online, over the phone, in person or through postal mail in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first requesting and receiving your permission to do so.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Date Retention

Applications for our ministry teams are retained for five (5) years unless there are significant changes to your data.

How You Can Verify Or Correct Your Information

You can review all personally identifiable information that we collect and maintain by contacting us at 800-784-7077.  We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.  You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information at this time.
